On July 1st, we welcome Elisabeth Haglund as our new chairwoman of the board for Skepparholmen Nacka, our spa and conference hotel beautifully situated by the sea and lake. With Elisabeth’s extensive and solid experience in the hotel and restaurant industry, we are confident that she will contribute valuable knowledge and leadership to our operations.
Elisabeth Haglund grew up in Ulricehamn, where her parents ran the Kurhotellet. Here, she gained her first experience in hospitality at an early age, laying the foundation for her impressive career. After language studies and education in France, Germany, and Switzerland, she worked several seasons at Hotel Derby in Davos. In 1982, Elisabeth was hired as the restaurant manager at Hotel Tylösand, where she had a successful career that eventually led to the role of CEO. She held this role for 23 years, during which she gained extensive experience in board work.
Elisabeth currently holds several significant positions, including chairwoman of AB Tylösands Havsbad, vice chair of Visita, and member of BFUF, Svensk Turism, and HOTREC. HOTREC, also known as Hospitality Europe, is an umbrella organization for hotels, restaurants, and similar businesses in Europe. Elisabeth’s great commitment to the industry and her desire to contribute her extensive experience make her an invaluable asset to Skepparholmen Nacka.
